Asset
Protection

Florida residents have an incredible array of asset protection strategies available to them to protect their estates and business interests from lawsuits and other creditors. We can help you design and implement plans to take maximum advantage of those strategies.

Business, Tax & Charitable Planning

Business owners and charitable individuals have many unique planning needs that are not accounted for in a traditional estate plan.  There are many options and each estate tax plan is different. It is important that the business, tax and charitable planning is coordinated with the estate plan.

Welcome to The Law Office of Stephen D. Dunegan

Hi, I’m Steve Dunegan. I am a small town boy who went to the big city and came back to tell about it. After being born and raised in Winter Garden, I somehow found myself at Cornell University, where I received both my law degree and my MBA. I then was hired by a big law firm in New York City to work in their tax department for 2 years before returning home to raise a family. I spent the next 30 years practicing advanced estate planning and tax law with several of Orlando’s largest law firms, and in 2014 I finally came full circle and opened my office in Winter Garden. Along the way I became Board Certified by the Florida Bar in both Wills, Trusts and Estates and Tax Law.

When you come to our office, you’re going to experience a nice mix of high quality legal work and down home hospitality. While we practice the highest level of estate planning and elder law, you will be treated like family and receive the best possible service we can offer. And if you haven’t visited downtown Winter Garden lately, you are in for a treat. It’s truly the reincarnation of Mayberry, except with a lot more restaurants and ice cream shops. We even have a micro-brewery! So when you or a loved one needs our services, I hope you will consider stopping in to see us.
